Swapeco is a unique startup initiative in the field of Waste Management and Recycling. In a world which has been plagued by all kinds of garbage and more recently by plastic and e-waste, we are working to bring about a change. And despite being relatively young, Swapeco has reached great heights and beyond. Not only do we have 4,500+ app downloads and 42,000 kg of plastic, E-waste and other scrap forwarded to recyclers but have managed to make a mark in the business world.

The Urban Works Innovation challenge is held annually by the Columbia Global Centre, Mumbai to support innovators and entrepreneurs. This year, we were among the top three winners for our unique solution of “providing monetary rewards to the consumer for effective plastic and e-waste recycling.” Our “ability to organize the unorganized sector, thereby creating trust between vendors and consumers through contemporary tech such as Internet of Things” was duly noted and appreciated. Not only were we awarded with funding but also received the opportunity to be mentored by the faculty of the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science of Columbia University.

Soon after this achievement, we bagged another- mBillionth award for Early Startup. The award seeks to recognize digital innovations making a difference across South Asia. We were awarded for our “innovative and logical solution will not only help solve, Indian waste management problems but will also generate skilled labour and employment for technicians, service engineers & marketing personnel.” Indeed our enterprise has opened multiple avenues for various stakeholders to engage in recycling of plastic and e-waste.

Our digital model promises 100% transparency while connecting generators, aggregators and recyclers of plastic scrap and waste. Trust is integral to our initiative and we hope that you place your trust in our internationally recognized brand to clean your home. And your continued support will help us do more and achieve more.
